ESNICO’s chemical absorbent socks are your first line of defense when a hazardous spill occurs. These flexible, fast-acting tools are designed to wrap around leaks and contain aggressive liquids before they can spread. Made from pure polypropylene with a durable yellow knitted skin, they safely soak up everything from acids and alkalis to solvents and oils. Whether you are dealing with a small drip under a lab bench or a large perimeter around industrial machinery, these socks ensure you have the right barrier ready the moment every second counts.
Our Chemical Absorbent Pillow range offers two sizes — the SL-CC1 for targeted small-quantity spill response and the SL-CC2 for high-volume, heavy-duty chemical absorption — both built on the same foundation of spunbond polypropylene outer construction, treated hydrophilic absorbent core, and stitched perimeter seaming that keeps the pillow structurally intact and chemically safe from first contact to final disposal.
Both models are yellow — the internationally recognised colour code for chemical-specific absorbents — ensuring fast, accurate identification in time-critical spill response situations. Both absorb acids, alkaline solutions, acetate, chlorinated solvents, benzene, toluene, water, oil, and the full range of industrial chemical liquids encountered in manufacturing plants, chemical processing facilities, laboratories, and chemical storage environments.
Chemical spills don’t stay in one place. Without a quick barrier, hazardous liquids can rapidly reach floor drains, walkways, and other work areas. ESNICO socks stop this spread at the source. They create a conforming seal on the floor that absorbs and contains at the same time,
Size: 7.5cm x 1.2m | Pack: Box of 20 This is your go-to sock for everyday containment. At 1.2 meters long, it’s perfect for surrounding small spills, protecting individual drains, or tucking under a leaking valve. Each sock can hold up to 6 liters of chemicals. Because they come in a box of 20, they are ideal for stocking spill kits and response stations throughout your facility.
Size: 7.5cm x 2.4m | Pack: Box of 10. When the spill footprint is large, you need more reach. The SL-CS2 is double the length of the standard sock, allowing you to cover wide perimeters with fewer pieces. This reduces the number of gaps where liquid might seep through. With a massive 15-liter capacity for chemicals and water, this is the heavy-duty choice for high-volume scenarios.

As soon as a spill is detected, place these socks around the outer edge. This creates a dam that stops hazardous liquids from migrating toward drains or pedestrian zones. Use the SL-CS1 for small spots and the SL-CS2 for larger areas to minimize the number of socks needed.
Stop leaks at the source by wrapping a sock directly around the base of equipment, dripping valves, or pipe connections. The flexible design hugs irregular shapes and stays in contact with the floor, preventing minor seeps from becoming major slip hazards.
Protect your infrastructure by placing socks across floor drains and doorways. The 2.4m length of the SL-CS2 is especially useful here, as it can often cover an entire doorway or wide drainage channel in a single, seamless placement.
Make these a standard part of your emergency kits. By keeping the SL-CS1 at chemical handling points and the SL-CS2 in central response stations, your team will always have the right tool for both minor drips and major incidents.
These products are inert and are not classified as hazardous goods for transport.
While the dry socks are safe to handle, always check the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) of the liquid you have absorbed. Use the appropriate PPE (gloves, goggles) when handling saturated socks.
Keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Store them in their original packaging until you need them to ensure they stay effective.
Once a sock is saturated, it must be disposed of according to the regulations for the liquid it soaked up. Do not put chemically contaminated socks in general trash. Follow your local hazardous waste procedures.
We stock both sizes across our facility — SL-CS1 at individual workstations for daily leak management and SL-CS2 at our main spill response stations for major incident containment. Having the right size for every scenario has significantly improved our spill response speed and reduced floor contamination incidents. Excellent range.
The yellow knitted construction is noticeably more durable than woven sock alternatives. Both sizes hold their shape under full saturation and the stitched ends have never failed during recovery and disposal. Wide chemical compatibility across everything we handle in our laboratory. Consistently reliable products.
Started with the SL-CS1 for our workshop and added the SL-CS2 when we expanded our chemical storage area. The extended length of the CS2 reduced our sock consumption per incident by half for large perimeter containment. Both products perform exactly as specified and the yellow color makes chemical sock identification instant in a mixed absorbent store.
The flexibility of the knitted format is what makes these socks so practical. We can shape them around any machinery base or floor obstacle without losing contact with the surface — something rigid containment products simply cannot do. Broad chemical compatibility, reliable absorption, and consistent quality across both sizes. Highly recommended.
Very good chemical sock range covering both standard and heavy-duty containment requirements. The product comparison between CS1 and CS2 makes selection straightforward for different applications. Build quality is consistent across both sizes and the absorption performance matches the specifications precisely. Would give five stars if a 3m extended option were added to the range for our largest containment runs.
Chemical Absorbent Pillows are engineered specifically for these situations — flexible, high-capacity cushion absorbents that conform to irregular surfaces.
The SL-CC1 Chemical Absorbent Pillow is a purpose-engineered spill response solution designed to absorb a wide spectrum of hazardous and non-hazardous chemical liquids quickly and safely.
The SL-CC2 is a large-format, heavy-duty chemical absorbent pillow engineered for high-volume chemical spill absorption in demanding industrial, laboratory, and chemical storage environments.
Chemical spills in industrial environments demand more than a standard absorbent response. They demand speed, capacity, coverage, and a product that can be deployed quickly across the exact footprint of the incident
The SL-CR1 is our largest and most powerful chemical absorbent roll — a heavy-weight, maximum-capacity sorbent solution engineered for serious chemical spill response and proactive industrial spill prevention.
The SL-CR2 is a heavy-weight, high-capacity chemical absorbent roll delivering the same exceptional 192-litre absorption performance as the SL-CR1
The SL-C200 is our most popular chemical absorbent pad — a light weight, high-value, daily-use sorbent solution trusted across industrial facilities, laboratories.
