FAQ

This Combustible Safety Storage Cabinet is built to full international safety standards, including OSHA® regulations, NFPA® Code 30, and 29 CFR 1910.1450. It is also designed to satisfy FM6050 industrial testing specifications for specialized chemical fire containment.

Red cabinets are designated for combustible liquids, typically including Class III materials. This covers heavier industrial fluids like diesel, lubricants, hydraulic fluids, motor oils, heating oils, inks, and oil-based paints that have higher flashpoints but still require code-compliant thermal isolation.

The double-wall galvanized steel structure relies on this 38mm (1½") insulating air gap to act as a thermal barrier. In the event of a facility fire, this dual-wall insulation significantly slows heat transfer to the interior, preventing stored fuels and oils from reaching their autoignition temperatures.

The liquid-tight 2-inch bottom sump creates a built-in containment basin at the base of the unit. If a drum or container leaks, the sump traps the chemical run-off internally, preventing hazardous liquids from spreading across your facility floor and fulfilling strict OSHA spill-control mandates.

The cabinet includes dual ports with built-in flame arresters to control volatile air concentrations. While venting is not mandatory under NFPA 30, you should connect them to standard mechanical exhaust piping if required by your local fire marshal or internal safety protocol.

Manual Close doors open fully to 180° for convenient loading and must be manually shut. Self-Close versions feature an internal tension mechanism that automatically closes and seals the cabinet doors whenever released, or if ambient temperatures spike. Many local jurisdictions mandate self-closing doors.

The adjustable shelves are engineered for high-density storage. For our larger 30 and 45-gallon models, the shelves support an industrial load capacity of 100kg each. For the compact 4-gallon models, the shelf supports up to 50kg. All shelves adjust at 7.6cm intervals for flexible spacing.

To safeguard high-value or hazardous inventory, this Combustible Safety Storage Cabinet features an integrated three-point linkage lock that secures the top, middle, and bottom of the door simultaneously. The flush handle also accommodates a secondary padlock, enabling strict double-person authorized access control.
